The Home for Bible Translators acts as a home for students and scholars
desiring to deepen their knowledge of the Hebrew Bible. The Home provides
complete study courses and heavily subsidized housing in Jerusalem:
1) Spring Course: Special
study program at the Hebrew University designed specifically for Bible
translators. For Spring 2009 we will have an introductory course for English speaking OT translators and consultants. See the program
course overview below.
2) Biblical Hebrew Summer Sessions: (equivalent to two semesters
of Biblical Hebrew study). See
www.biblicalulpan.org
for more information on these courses.
3) Summer Biblical Hebrew Poetry: (for intermediate and advanced
students) Contact the Home for Bible Translators directly for more information
on this course and the Fall Option.
4) Fall Option: Private tutorials tailor-made to individual
student's needs, in either Biblical or Modern Hebrew. Short term "Land of the
Bible" courses for groups of translators upon request offering guiding,
lecturing and teaching of and in the Land of the Bible.
The Home provides an inexpensive place of residence for scholars and translators
on sabbaticals (available September through January of each year.)
5) Special short-term programs:
